Problem, Animal Kingdom?

Adsense Screwing Us Over

So I just read an interesting blog entry from the blog YOU CAN CALL ME BOSS (link there), and he said the Google Adsense does not count clicks that view the page for less then 25 seconds...which kind of frustrates me.  I mean if they click, then decide they are not interested upon entering the site, that should not be the bloggers/publishers fault.  I mean I want to know how many clicks I ACTUALLY got...I am disappoint.  Also it is not the person hosting the ads fault if google cannot keep the clickers interested enough to stay.  Sounds like a problem with google amirite?  Anyways I thought you guys would like to know so we can rage together in the comments.

Once again here is the link for the original blogger, please check it out I will feel like a douche if he doesn't get the credit deserved!  Thx

Mutton Chops, Xylophone Solos, Yodeling, and Strange Haircuts

So today I thought I would share with my readers some awesome bands, that nobody or few people seem to know about.  I know the title is a little bit misleading, but I think it accurately depicts some of these just plain odd bands, all of which are musically brilliant.

This first one is Hocus Pocus By Focus, an awesome song, with some great guitar playing, interesting drums, sweet bass line, and absolutely ridiculous vocals (yodeling) from the 70s.  Check it out, its worth the listen I promise.

This next one is called Knots by Gentle Giants, it has some interesting discordance to it, and an eerie piano melody, along with a brilliantly creepy vocal harmony, with a little xylophone solo in it.  It leads into Octopus by Gentle Giant, with some great key changes, awesome melodic jazzy/blusey/folk guitar parts, when it leads back into creepy.  Truly brilliant what these men can do with their instruments.

This band is quite a bit different from the other two.  They are called The Beat Farmers, and the song is Gun Sale At the Church.  It is a down south rock & roll style song, but if memory serves the band was actually from California, never made it big due to the singer dying young.  A should be classic, plus the singer has the nittiest, grittiest mutton chops around, and frankly every member of this band just radiates cool.

This video speaks for itself, a true virtuoso of the guitar, Justin King with Knock On Wood.  Also he has a very strange haircut...idk if I am okay with it.

As much as I could go into interesting bands, and songs that few have heard of I am gonna stop here because the post would cover my entire page, if you want more in a later blog entry feel free to ask.  All of these songs are definitely worth the listen if you are a fan of real music :) .

I entered ten puns into a pun contest expecting one to win, no pun in-ten-did.

Cows Dropping Dead In Wisconsin

I found an article today, if you want to check it out here is a link.  The article is from Time, and it talks about how over 200 cows dropped dead somewhere in Wisconsin.  The article has also been saying how a lot of people think that the birds dropping dead a couple of weeks ago, and the fishing coming up dead are all connected to a biblical prophecy that the world is gonna end.  All I have to say to that is lol, thats a load.  It is curious that all these things are just dying in masses though.  Apparently there have been mass deaths of birds and fish in places like Arkansas, Sweden, Louisiana, and Kentucky.  Which I personally find odd considering Sweden is halfway across the world from most these places.  Although birds to tend to travel.  Idk I am tired, once again if you want to check out the article by Time here is another link, and thank you I got my first couple of followers so thanks everybody for checking it out!

Fallout New Vegas (Video Game) Review

Fallout New Vegas is one of my person favorite video games.  I like it because it took Fallout 3, and more or less remade it with better graphics, a more interactive story line, and more things to do.  Like Fallout 3 they still have a great sound track in Fallout New Vegas, filled with lots of great oldies that create a great vibe throughout the game.  You take the role of a wandering courier in the game, and  upon delivering a mysterious package, you are shot in the head and left to die in a shallow grave by an unknown hat sporting a checkered suit.  You soon wake up in a nearby town with a doctor, who informs you that a strange robot named Victor found you and brought you to safety.  You make it your mission to go and find the man in the checkered suit and get revenge, all the while getting tied up with different factions like The New California Republic, Caesar's Legion, and Mr.House and his army of securitrons.
The game has lots of stuff to do in it, if you stay away from the main storyline quests you could play this game for hours, and hours.  Even the side quests have excellent story lines to accompany them, and you will meet all sorts of companions and enemies along the way.  Check out Fallout New Vegas, to recap, it has an excellent storyline, lots of customization, great characters, great music, excellent replay value, great game play, and a good New Vegas vibe to it.  Nothing like walking into New Vegas the first time and seeing all the flashy casinos and people with Jingle Jangle Jingle playing in the background.  Great game check it out!

1408 (2007) Movie Review

1408 is a chilling story written by Stephen King about a skeptical horror writer.  He goes to haunted hotel rooms across the country, stays in them, then writes about them.  The character in the movie is not a believer of ghosts, which is ironic due to his profession.  The movie starts out with a prelude like so many horror movies often do, of the character going about his daily life.  As the story progresses it begins to take on a good creepy vibe which I personally look for in a good scary movie.  About a quarter way through the movie I was sure that it was going to be a typical paranormal cheap-shock scare movie, but to my avail it retained that creepy attribute I do so adore, and had some great, very Stephen Kingish plot twists.  I myself am a huge Stephen King fan and am really impressed how well they did 1408 compared to some of the earlier Stephen King movies (maybe there is still hope for The Dark Tower movie yet!).  I believe the book/movie were somewhat based on Dante's 9 Circles of Hell as well which adds in an interesting dynamic to the movie. All in all this was a great creepy-paranormal thriller and I strongly suggest taking the time to watch it.  Thx for reading!

And Here is what IMDB has to say about the movie
